vivo Pad launches with Snapdragon 870 and 11-inch display

vivo’s launch event last night didn’t just end with two smartphones, as the company is entering the tablet game with the vivo Pad, an 11-inch slate that rivals the iPad Air that comes equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 870 processor.

Featuring screen bezels that’s rather similar to the 11-inch iPad Pro, the vivo Pad’s display produces a 2K resolution of 2560×1600 and refreshes at 120Hz, the media consumption experience is further enhanced with a Dolby Atmos quad-speaker system, the tablet supports an active stylus that recognizes 4096 levels of pressure. On top of that, this is probably one of the few Android tablets that supports fast charging at 44W, which will juice up its 8040mAh battery in no time.

As a rival to the iPad Air, the vivo Pad features a USB-C port that supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds which can support fast external storage and connect external displays up to 4K 60Hz, the tablet will also have its proprietary smart keyboard that comes with a touchpad.

The vivo Pad will retail from CNY2499 (RM1661) in China and comes in storage variants of 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB, preorders will begin today while general availability will be made on April 15th onwards.
