If you think 6-inch thin bezel smartphones are still too huge for your hands, vivo has today introduced the more compact yet capable V7 smartphone to the Malaysian market, which features a slightly smaller footprint with a 5.7-inch FullView display, but still maintains very much the same features of the larger Vivo V7+, such as a 24-megapixel f/2.0 front camera with LED flash, a 16-megapixel main camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core chip, and comes preloaded with FunTouch OS 3.2 based on Android 7.1.2 that offers great customization feature to the user experience.
As a smaller and more affordable device than the company’s V7+, there are a couple of trade-offs, the V7 still has 4GB of RAM, however internal storage has been halved to 32GB with Micro SD expansion, battery capacity is also smaller at 3000mAH. However, vivo has fortunately kept the same screen resolution at 1440×720 from the V7+, making the V7’s display with more dense pixels than its bigger sibling due to the smaller dimensions.
Also available on the vivo v7 is the company’s unique Face Beauty 7.0 technology, which automatically brightens up selfies with smart photography algorithms that produces crystal clear, natural looking photos. Users will also be able to unlock the phone using their faces as an alternative to the rear mounted fingerprint scanner, which in our tests, it managed to unlock the phone in less than a second.
