The vivo iQOO Youth Edition is launching with a Snapdragon 845 chipset at CNY1,998

There was quite a hype back then when vivo revealed its sub-brand iQOO that focuses on producing gaming smartphones. Its first phone was literally called the vivo iQOO, and now there’s going to be a Youth Edition of the gaming phone.

The vivo iQOO was launched back in March and now its Youth Edition is going to be launching today. Found on Geekbench, the vivo phone codenamed vivo V1914A is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor paired with 6GB RAM and ships with Android 9.

In addition, the teaser poster for the new gaming phone also revealed that the iQOO Youth Edition will come with 4,000mAh battery and 128GB storage. The vivo iQOO also came with a 4,000mAh battery that supports up to 44W fast charging via USB-C, so it’s only logical to expect that the Youth Edition might also be able to do so. Reports also indicated that it’ll have a waterdrop notch and though unstated, we’re expecting nothing less than an AMOLED display.

Surprisingly, the pricing for the iQOO Youth Edition has already been revealed and will cost CNY1,998 in China. If we’re converting it to MYR, the phone will only cost around RM1,200 — a rather competitive price for a gaming phone.
