Vivo introduces their Nex flagship phone, comes with a full-body display and under screen fingerprint sensor

Vivo recently announced their new flagship device called the Nex. This was the phone with the codename Apex which was introduced during MWC 2018, it comes with a full-display body and a selfie camera that slides out from the top of the phone.

Specs wise, it comes with the latest Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, 6.59-inch FHD+ OLED display and powering the device is a 4000mAh battery. It comes with a 12MP+5MP camera on the back and an 8MP selfie camera. There is also a second variant that comes with a Snapdragon 710 processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The phone does not have an earpiece speaker, so Vivo went with their glass-vibrating Screen Soundcasting Technology and based on first impressions by people that experienced the phone, it still sounds good. Sadly, it does not come with half the phone screen being a fingerprint sensor like the Vivo Apex, rather they opted for a finger-sized section as the fingerprint sensor like the X21

As of now, the phone is only available in China, but seeing as they brought over the X21 to Malaysia, its safe to assume that the Nex will make its way to our shores sooner or later. The Vivo Nex retails as 4,998 Yuan for the Snapdragon 845. Expect to see more full-display phones like this in the future.
