ViewSonic’s X Series 4K projectors comes with Alexa and Google Assistant built-in

Even though ViewSonic isn’t present at the CES showfloor, the company is still joining in the spotlight by unveiling its new X Series 4K projectors.

The X Series sports a rather interesting retro design in the form of a cinema projector, there are two models here, namely the X10-4K and X1000-4K.

The X10-4K is a short throw projector capable of projecting 2400 lumens of brightness, while the X1000-4K is slightly dimmer but offers an ultra short throw capable of projecting an 8-foot image with a few inches away from the wall.

Both projectors use LED technology with up to 30,000 hours of life, they also come with built-in Harman Kardon speakers, which is obviously much louder and larger than the M1 Projector we’ve seen, so you can probably save on a sound system in your living room.

In terms of ports selection, you have a USB-A and USB-C port, HDMI 2.0, Ethernet and an audio jack for external speakers.

ViewSonic notes that these projectors will support both Alexa and Google Assistant, which we assume you can control the power and certain features of by using a voice assistant of your choice.

Both projectors are also said to run on a non-GMS version of Android, as the company highlights that you can install apps from the Aptoide store, an open source app market for Android that holds 900,000 apps.

ViewSonic is expect to ship the X series projectors by Spring 2019, and if you are prepared to upgrade your living room experience, the X10-4K and X1000-4K will cost you US$2,399 (RM9875) and US$2,799 (RM11,522) respectively.
