Upcoming Huawei Mate 10 will feature glass back, tiny camera bumps

We’re only a little over a month away from the Huawei Mate 10’s unveiling at Munich in October. Huawei is continuing its trend of launching one flagship in the first half of the year and another flagship in the second. The Mate 10 will be more of phablet category as compared to the P10 from earlier this year, and latest renders show the Mate 10 sporting a glass back.

According to OnLeaks, the renders of the Mate 10 show the upcoming Huawei flagship flaunting a sleek glass back, a welcome change from the metal body Mate 9. This could mean that the Huawei Mate 10 will be able to charge wirelessly through its glass back panel. The renders also show the fingerprint sensor being shifted to the front, another significant change from the Mate 9’s rear fingerprint sensor.

The Huawei Mate 10 is said to retain the 5.9-inch display, but with a trim in bezels compared to its predecessor. The new glass back is also slightly curved on its sides. Furthermore, we spotted camera bump(s) for the Mate 10’s dual camera setup, which might suggest that the handset is a tad slimmer than the Mate 9.

Huawei recently unveiled the Kirin 970 processor at IFA 2017, so that will be present in the upcoming Mate 10 which will be launched on the 16th of October.
