Unboxing the Galaxy S7 with a llama

Prior to the launch of the Galaxy S7 next week, Samsung is creating more hype for smartphone enthusiasts worldwide by releasing a mini-series of ads named “Seven Days of Unboxing”. The privileged figure to unbox the new flagship is rather an unconventional one. No, it isn’t an Asian, but rather, a llama.

Samsung had the llama “unbox” the phone at what seems to be a secure room with a timer. Once the timer finishes, the llama is then escorted out by its caretaker to give its own impression of the device, by painting it? Yes. The llama was required to paint the Galaxy S7 out using a paintbrush by its own mouth, and the results were astonishingly abstract.

You might wonder how many llamas went through casting for Samsung to pick an artistic one. Not only that, this llama has a name, Kuzco. Kuzco also turns out to be a character of Disney’s animated movie “The Emperor’s New Groove”, who in the movie turned into a llama from human. At the end of the video ad, the words “This is what he saw” was displayed on the screen, indicating Kuzco’s expressionist finish of painting the S7. Poor confused llama. The video can be watched here.
