Most of you are probably not familiar with UMi, one of the many smartphone manufacturers in China striving to push out devices that can smoke major flagship handsets in terms of pricing. Lately, the Chinese OEM has been rumored to be in the works of a device dubbed the UMi Super.
According to GizmoChina, the UMi Super was recently rumored to sport a bezel-less screen. On top of that, the handset is also tipped to feature a dual-camera setup, which will might just make the UMi Super stand out from the rest in 2016, apart from the likes of the LG G5 and Huawei P9. Following up on the aforementioned rumors, more have come our way along with a leaked image teaser of the phone, which seems to boast its USB Type-C port with fast charging capabilities.
Other rumors include the powerful Snapdragon 820 processor running underneath the hood with a whopping 6GB of RAM, as seen on the VIVO XPlay 5 and the Z2 Pro by Lenovo spinoff company ZUK, both of which are Chinese. It seems like the trend of maxing out spec sheets will remain a Chinese thing for now. Last but not least, the UMi Super is rumored to carry a mere $300 (RM1,174.05), which will turn out to be pretty competitive if that’s true. What do you think?
