U Mobile offers Redmi 6A for free with Hero Postpaid P99

In the last round of smartphone offerings with U Mobile’s unlimited postpaid plans, the Galaxy J4 was offered as a free device when you sign up for the flagship P99 plan. If you are already using the plan and have thought of getting a new device, the Redmi 6A is now being offered as a free alternative to the Galaxy J4. If you are on the Hero Postpaid P79 plan, the phone can still be yours for a mere RM79 price tag.

New subscribers will be required to pay an upfront payment of RM360 and RM504 for P79 and P99 plans respectively, which will be rebated over a period of 24 months. Existing subscribers who have been with the network for a year and not suspended for the last six months will not be required to pay any upfront payment.

The Redmi 6A is a value for money budget smartphone from Xiaomi, it officially retails at RM399, featuring a 5.45″ HD+ 18:9 display, 13MP main and 5MP front camera and a 3000mAh battery. The phone uses a Mediatek Helio A22 chip and is supported by 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, it runs Android 8.1 out of the box with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 software.
