HTC might sound a little quiet after announcing the HTC 10, but rumors of the Taiwanese handset company making Google’s Nexus device isn’t dying down, as reported by Android Police, there will be two HTC made Nexus devices codnamed Sailfish and Marlin, while details of these two handsets are still incomplete, reports have confirmed that the codenamed ‘Sailfish’ handset could be the successor to the current Nexus 5X. The ‘Sailfish’ model is reported to come with a 5-inch 1080p display, an unknown quad-core 2.0GHz processor with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage with the possibility of more storage options, a 12-megapixel main camera which we assume to be the one on the HTC 10, and a 2770mAh battery.
Furthermore, the design of HTC’s Nexus devices might retain similar characteristics of the current Nexus devices, such as having a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and speakers at the bottom, hence we shouldn’t be expecting a recent HTC smartphone design on these new Nexus devices, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that HTC might build a beautiful metal chassis for these phones. Till then, lets hope that one of the HTC made Nexus devices will look like the picture above.
