Website links and photos will no longer eat into your 140-character Tweet limits as Twitter will be rolling out an update to its service that would cost photos and links to not be counted in the character limit.
According to an anonymous source from Bloomberg, this update is expected to be rolled out within two weeks time, allowing users to fully utilise the 140-character limit even with links being included into the Tweet. While links and photos will no longer take up character space, usernames will still be counted.
Twitter has been busy trying to shore up its user base as the company has been struggling to make a profit for quite a while now. Not so long ago, Twitter has added a feature that would allow the service to determine the best Tweets on your timeline and bump it to the top. This new feature is one that many have been asking for, but only time will tell if this update will boost Twitter’s userbase.
