TP-Link is back with a new pair of smartphones under the Neffos brand as the company launch the X1 and X1 Max in Malaysia.
Both the X1 and X1 Max features a metallic body exterior and a dual-curved back that tapers towards the sides. The camera on both smartphones are identical as well as both phones comes with a 13MP rear camera with a f/2.0 lens and Sony’s IMX258 sensor with backside illumination and a 5P lens system. For the front, both smartphones have a 5MP camera with a Real-time Beautify mode.
Performance is where the X1 and X1 Max differs, while both phones are powered by MediaTek’s Helio P10 octa-core processor, the X1 sports up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the other side, the X1 Max is capable of supporting up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Both models are able to support microSD cards which can boost its internal storage to 128GB.
The difference between the X1 and X1 Max can be found in its battery capacity and screen size. The X1 sports a 5″ HD IPS display with a 2,250mAh battery, while the X1 Max comes with a 5.5″ Full HD IPS display with a 3,000mAh battery. The X1 will have a starting price of RM769 for the 2GB RAM – 16GB ROM variant, while the X1 Max will start at RM999 for the 3GB RAM – 32GB ROM variant.
