Top of the line Zenfone 3 Deluxe will run on Snapdragon 821

Barely 24 hours after Qualcomm announced that the Snapdragon 821 is a thing, we now know which device will have the honour of being the first one to utilise Qualcomm’s latest chip. The answer? ASUS’s Zenfone 3 Deluxe.

At the Zenfone 3’s Taiwan and Hong Kong launch event, it is confirmed that the top end model of the Zenfone 3 Deluxe will come with the Snapdragon 821. Besides the new chip, this particular Zenfone 3 Deluxe model will also sport 6GB of DDR4 RAM, 256GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage, an Adreno 530 GPU, dual-SIM support, Cat 13 LTE radio and Quick Charge 3.0. This particular model has a retail price of TWD 24,990 (RM 3,088). 

The Zenfone 3 Deluxe will also feature two other configurations, but both of them will continue to utilise the Snapdragon 820. The 4GB RAM – 32GB Storage configuration will has an asking price of TWD 15,990 (RM 1,975) while the 6GB RAM – 64GB Storage configuration goes for TWD 17,990 (RM 2,222). All three phones in the Zenfone 3 Deluxe series are Google Daydream-ready.
