TIME Internet officially unveils cheaper and faster broadband plans

If paying for RM129/month for 100Mbps already sounded too good for you, TIME Internet has once again made a breakthrough by offering it even lower than that at RM99/month, you can even go all the way up to 1Gbps by only paying RM199/month.

Yes, the fastest fixed broadband ISP is back, after its rival TM announced its new home broadband plans several months back.

Last week, we reported that a number of users on Lowyat.NET Forums have reported a speed bump on their service, and though we had assume that only the 500Mbps customers have been upgraded to 1Gbps speed, 300Mbps to 800Mbps and 100Mbps to 300Mbps, the case is in fact much better.

Starting today, existing customers on the base 100Mbps plan will automatically be upgraded to the 500Mbps plan, while 300Mbps and 500Mbps customers will both be upgraded with 1Gbps of speed.

While TM adopts asymmetrical download and upload speeds, TIME offers equal download and upload speeds for the user, which is made possible by the company’s 100% Fibre network, and you can read more of that here.

New subscribers for the higher speed plans will also get the new D-Link DIR-882 router, which you can read our review of it here.

TIME has mentioned that there will be no changes to existing contracts, and the subscription fee follows the new price, whichever is lower. All existing TIME subscribers are automatically eligible for the upgrade and there’s no need to wait or perform any validation for this.

Now, the only thing TIME that needs to do next is to bring their superb service to landed properties, and we shall patiently hope and wait till that day comes. For more info, check them out over here.
