Newer MacBook users might not get the chance to experience the MagSafe connector that is now replaced with USB-C ports, but an innovative company known as Innerexile has the solution to that with a device called the ThunderMag.
When Apple changed its MagSafe connector to USB-C ports, the company did not provide any alternatives for those who preferred the older connector, which is why several third-party options appeared to offer MagSafe-to-USB-C adaptors. However, none have been as inclusive as Innerexile’s ThunderMag that can deliver power and also offer high speed data transfer.
The product which is launched at Kickstarter is claimed to be able to deliver 100W power and support data transfer speed up to 40Gbps, and thanks to the strong magnetic power, it stays strongly attached to the computer when needed and yet is still able to detach itself instead of dragging your MacBook down with it when there are accidental tugs.
The ThunderMag also has a reversible 24-pin plug with a metallic design so it’s both sleek and durable. The product has gone through various reliability tests to ensure that it will not overheat and can offer stable charging.
In terms of compatibility, the ThunderMag is not only compatible to MacBooks, but also any USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 device. You can get it for $39 to $49, and it comes with 12 months of international warranty and free international shipping to most countries with the estimated delivery to occur in May 2019.
