Facebook first mentioned the redesigning of its website in 2019 during the F8 conference and now it’s finally being introduced to the public. So, what are we getting with the new Facebook?
Simpler navigation
Facebook’s new design makes it easier to navigate through different sections of the platform. The interface is now more organized and resembles its mobile app, so app users will find familiarity in the new website design. Facebook also made improved on the page loading speed.
Improved Pages, Groups and Events
It’s even easier to create Events, Pages, Groups and ads on Facebook now. Users will get to preview the Group they want to create before actually doing it. They can switch between Desktop Preview and Mobile Preview, and even add a cover photo before creating the group.
Dark Mode
Well, this is pretty self-explanatory. Dark Mode has been a popular feature that users have been requesting for in apps, operating systems and even websites. Those who spend their nights scrolling through Facebook will probably be grateful that this feature is finally out.
Availability
Facebook is currently rolling out this new design globally, but it will take a while before it reaches us Malaysians. However, those who can access the new website should be able to do so via Facebook’s drop-down menu on the top right. Click on that and you should get the option to “Switch to New Facebook”.
