Xiaomi finally has its own physical store in Malaysia. For the past few years, you’ll only be able to purchase Mi phones and products through the online Mi Store, unless you prefer being ripped off by third party dealers outside. Xiaomi has heard our prayers and finally given the green light for the first ever Mi Authorized Premium Reseller Store here in Malaysia. And for once, it isn’t located in Kuala Lumpur.
You read right. In fact, this store sits in Queensbay Mall, Penang. Here you’ll be able to find nearly every Mi product, if not all. As you all might have already known, Xiaomi’s products are not only limited to smartphones and accessories. They also range from laptops, TV’s, and a huge array of smart home products like the Mi Air Purifier. Mi Smart Rice Cooker and so on. Unfortunately, apart from the Mi phones and accessories alike, most of the other products have been slapped with the “for display only” tag. Nevertheless, you’ll find most of Xiaomi’s current phones being available for sale, including the recent Mi Note 2. Xiaomi has made a list of all the products that will be available for sale here.
We sure hope that Xiaomi will make more of its products available here in Malaysia. The company is known for its budget devices and affordable products, hence we’re almost certain that products such as the Mi Notebook Air and the Mi TV will fare pretty well against the field players here.
