This Android powered speaker comes with Google Assistant and Alexa for $149

When it comes to home assistants, it is difficult to decide which one performs best for your usage, and the best solution to this is a speaker called Clarity. Clarity is a smart speaker that has a tablet display snapped onto it, it has a 7-inch HD display and runs Android 5.1 out of the box, you also get to download apps from the Google Play Store and play games on it if you really want to, however the most impressive part is that the speaker will allow you to use either Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa as your home assistant, which means you get to control your home’s smart electronics that is supported by both services, and get to switch between them any time you like.

Clarity is pretty impressive as well when it comes to its acoustics, it features two 5 watt speakers with a spacious sound chamber and port tube, which should make it a pretty loud boombox. The speaker supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connections, and if you want to take it along with you, it does come with a fairly small but capable built-in 1600mAh battery that delivers up to 6 hours of audio playback and 2.5 hours of video playback, there’s even a 2-megapixel camera onboard that lets you make video calls if you find that necessary.

If you are interested, Clarity has extended its Indiegogo campaign and is selling at $149 (RM660) excluding shipping charges, which is 25% off its intended $199 price tag, deliveries will begin in June this year, which isn’t too long to wait if you want to own two home assistants at once.
