The ZTE Blade V8 goes official in Malaysia

ZTE Malaysia has official taken the wraps of the Blade V8 today, a mid-range smartphone that comes with dual cameras and runs Android Nougat out of the box for less than RM1000. The Blade V8 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display and a sleek body that measures 7.7mm thin, it is powered by a Snapdragon 435 processor paired to 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, storage is expandable via a MicroSD card on the second SIM slot, a 2730mAh battery is included under its premium metallic chassis.

What ZTE really wants to emphasize on the Blade V8 is none other than its dual cameras, a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel setup that is able to capture ‘bokeh’ and 3D images, with the help of the secondary 2-megapixel camera that measures depth of field, users can refocus their images on the subjects they want after taking a picture, and when images are captured in 3D, you can view them on VR cardboards, which ZTE has conveniently made the phone’s box one, hence there’s no need to purchase one separately.

“Our aim is to offer premium quality smartphone of its class at affordable price tags to the consumers here,” said Jeremy Zhao, CEO of S.E.A Region, Device Group of ZTE Corporation. “As the Top 5 smartphone production company in China for Q1 2017, we also plan to make ZTE smartphone easily available to consumers by increasing the numbers of ZTE retailers in the Malaysia market,” he added.

The ZTE Blade V8 retails at RM999, which is pretty decent considering it has the features of the Honor 6X that we have reviewed back then, the phone can be purchased from Lazada Malaysia and ZTE authorised resellers nationwide.
