The Yotaphone 3 has finally been teased

The Yotaphone 2 proved to be quite the innovative phone when it was first launched. The Russian handset ran on Android, and sported a display on both the front and rear panels of the device. The front display is of AMOLED technology in Full HD resolution, measuring at 5-inches. The secondary display at the back is an E-ink grayscale always-on display, measuring at 4.7-inches. The downside was that the phone came at a really premium price, only to receive a drastic price cut according to local online stores. Now the company behind the phone has teased a Yotaphone 3, which is slated to launch some time soon.

Yotaphone’s Russian site shows a teased device, which seems to have an edge-to-edge display, marking the absence of a phone refresh since the launch of the Yotaphone 2 back in 2014. There is no other info regarding this new handset, apart from the fact Yotaphone has reportedly partnered up with Chinese manufacturer ZTE more than 18 months ago. We can’t be certain whether or not the Yotaphone will sport an E-ink display on the back like its predecessor but Yotaphone will be smart to retain its signature feature.

The teaser also tells us that the phone will be available for pre-orders this coming summer, which is approximately 3 months away. Chances are that the Yotaphone 3 will see a launch some time in June before the company opens up for pre-orders. What will you be expecting from the Yotaphone 3?
