The Xiaomi Mi Play official images show the phone’s gradient back

Xiaomi’s first phone with a waterdrop notch screen is about to be launched in China today, and before the launch Xiaomi President Lin Bin released the official images of the smartphone.

The images shared by Xiaomi’s President showed that the phone will be coming in at least two colours, one being a gradient blue whereas the other being somewhat a gradient coral. The Mi Play is likely to have a shiny finish on its back by the looks of the images and it will also come with a fingerprint sensor. It’ll have dual rear camera and the speaker will be located at the bottom.

As the pictures only reveal the back of the phone, we only know that the phone comes with a waterdrop notch. However, leaks and rumours indicate that the smartphone will most likely come with a 5.84-inch FHD+ resolution and will have a headphone jack. Besides that, the rear camera will feature a 12MP primary sensor and the front camera will feature a 8MP sensor.

The processor that will be in the phone is yet to be revealed, but it’s expected to be an oct-core SoC, and the Mi Play will also come with either 3/4/6GB RAM with 32/64/128GB storage. Lastly, it is said that the phone will come with a 2900mAh battery, which is fairly below average when it comes to current smartphones’ battery size.
