Paypal UK confirmed yesterday through Twitter that the Steam Winter Sale will begin on the 22nd of December. Yes, the Steam Winter Sale starts at midnight today, so get your credit cards ready.
Apart from the regular Steam Sale, Valve will also be opening the door on voting for the Steam Awards. Running until the 29th of December, Steam users will have 24 hours to vote for their favourite games in each category. The categories will be rotated throughout the sales, and the winners will be announced on New Year’s Eve. The first category that will be open for voting is “The Villain Most in Need of a Hug Award”, and the nominees are Borderlands 2, Dead by Daylight, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4 and Portal 2.
