The launch of the Xperia X series ended the Xperia Z line’s reign by Sony over the last couple of years, but the company isn’t bidding its goodbye’s to the Z series just yet, announcing a new color for the Xperia Z5 Premium, bringing out its feminine side.
Whether or not the color is considered to be feminine is highly debatable, since pink seems to be a man’s color, or pink being the new black. Sony has confirmed that they were in the works of a pink Xperia Z5 Premium earlier in January, collaborating with designer Murai-san. Well at least the company isn’t claiming the device to be a Rose Gold Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. Pink is the clear-cut color for this 2015 flagship handset.
But of course, the only change is the color of the device, the rest of the specs remain 2015-same-old. No extra RAM, better camera, or any Snapdragon 652 processor. However, the Xperia Z5 Premium still remains as the only smartphone to sport a future-proof 4K UHD display. Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 810 SoC of yesteryear. Apart from pink colored fanatics, we aren’t convinced that consumers would revisit Sony’s 2015 flagship smartphone, but maybe, just maybe, this stunning pink device will capture the attention of some fans out there.
