A while ago we were expecting the Redmi Pro 2 to be launched but it wasn’t true. Redmi – once a part of Xiaomi – is now on its own, and plans to release a flagship Redmi smartphone, which is the Redmi Pro 2.

The Redmi 2 Pro was initially expected to sport a punch hole display, but now it’s revealed to have a pop-up selfie camera, which means that it’ll come with a full notch-less, hole-less display. As to whether it’ll be using an LCD or OLED panel, that information is still a mystery.

According to the poster on Weibo, the Redmi Pro 2 will also be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 855 processor, meaning that its price will probably be higher than we were expecting too. It’s also said to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and will come with three rear cameras.

One detail that stayed constant is the fact that the Redmi Pro 2 will come with a 48MP main camera on its back, similar to the Redmi Note 7’s main camera, though the Note 7 has dual instead of triple rear camera. As for its selfie camera, we’re expecting a 32MP camera like the vivo V15’s front camera.
