The Redmi 12C has large display and storage for RM599

Xiaomi Malaysia has introduced the Redmi 12C, an entry-level smartphone that’s big on features.

Powered by a Mediatek Helio G85 processor, the Redmi 12C comes with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage, storage can be further expanded to 1TB with a Micro SD card, it features a large 6.71-inch HD+ display that refreshes at 90Hz, a large 5,000mAh battery that could easily last a heavy day of usage, and all of these are packed into a stylish design with an unibody curved back that offers great aesthetics.

The Redmi 12C employs a single 50MP camera on the back to capture photos, it is assisted by a secondary auxiliary camera that does scene recognition for optimizing photos, while the camera software has essential features such as HDR and Night Mode. Selfies are serviced by a 5MP camera, while both front and rear cameras support 1080p video recording at 30fps.

The Redmi 12C will be available in storage variants of 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, and 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, four color variants of Purple, Green, Blue and Black will also be offered as well.

For those who wants to preorder the phone, you can do so starting today as for a limited time, Xiaomi Malaysia is giving away a free Redmi Buds 4 Lite wireless earbuds worth RM139 to customers.

The Redmi 12C will be generally available starting at March 16 onwards in Xiaomi official stores on Lazada and Shopee, and authorised Xiaomi Stores nationwide, those who purchase on that date onwards will receive a free Xiaomi In-Ear Headphones Basic worth RM39.
