Back in December, HP announced that the base model Spectre x360 will be coming to Malaysia with a pricetag of RM4,999. Today, we’ve learned from HP that the price for said model has been bumped up a notch as it now retails for RM5,199.
Just as a recap, the Spectre x360 model in question is the i5 configuration that comes with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM, a 256GB SSD, two USB-Type C ports and a battery that can last up to 15 hours. This particular configuration will see its price bumped up to RM5,199, which is a RM200 increase from its previous price point. Meanwhile, the i7 variant of the Spectre X360 remains unchanged as you can still acquire it for RM5,999.
As to why the price for the base model of the Spectre x360 was bumped up, a HP representative states that the increase in price is due to the weakened Ringgit. The price increase is effective immediately, so those looking to get the i5 Spectre x360 should take note of this updated price point.
