The Pokémon Company's chief executive reveals more about the Nintendo NX

Nintendo has released little to no details regarding the supposed NX console. With the console supposedly releasing next March, the company’s silence on the NX is rather worrying to be honest. That said, The Pokémon Company’s chief executive has revealed some details as to the NX, and it seems to be in line with the rumours that has surrounded the NX thus far.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Tsunekazu Ishihara has mentioned that the Nintendo NX console aims to meld features of traditional consoles and hand-held devices. “The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device,” says Ishihara. This statement more or less confirms the rumour that the Nintendo NX console will be a console-handheld hybrid that comes with detachable consoles.

With regards to the Nintendo NX, Ishihara has mentioned that The Pokémon Company will be making games for the Nintendo NX. Whether or not said game will be available on the day of the Nintendo NX launch however, Ishihara did not mention.
