The OPPO Reno series is coming to Malaysia with its unique rising camera

We’ve already heard of the new OPPO Reno series for the past few months, but now the series is finally making its way to Malaysia, alongside with OPPO’s new brand identity.

OPPO made a short video showcasing all the new changes that has been made to its logo, including using its custom typeface — OPPO Sans — which is also rendered in Chinese, Cyrillic and Latin alphabets.

There are currently two variants of the OPPO Reno — OPPO Reno and OPPO Reno 10x Zoom. While both variants come with a unique rising camera that resembles the shape of a shark fin, the Reno comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display while the Reno 10x Zoom sports a larger 6.6-inch AMOLED screen.

The Reno is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset while the Reno 10x Zoom sports a Snapdragon 855 chipset. The configurations are similar for both models, where users get to pick 6/8GB RAM paired with 128/256GB storage. In addition, the Reno series ships with ColorOS 6 based on Android 9.

Moving on, the Oppo Reno comes with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP main camera and a 5MP secondary sensor. On the other hand, the Reno 10x Zoom has a better camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, a 8MP wide angle lens and a 13MP telephoto lens. The rear camera setup comes with 10x hybrid zoom, hence the name of the model. On the front, a 16MP rising selfie camera is found in both variants.

For now, there has been no official date for the launch of the Reno series in Malaysia, but rest assured that this unique series — available in Ocean Green and Jet Black — will be arriving soon.
