Here it is, the nuch-anticipated OPPO Reno has arrived in Malaysia; bring along with it its much talked-about shark fin selfie camera.
The device comes with a 6.4-inch OLED display, while boasting a 93.1% screen-to-body ratio. You won’t find any notches here, because it comes with the aforementioned selfie camera – OPPO has finally given the camera module a name – dubbed the “Pivot-Rising Structure”, the rising module holds the 16MP front camera, soft light and back flash. What’s unique is that the module rises at an angle, hence its “shark fin” moniker.
Over on the back is a dual-lens setup that houses the 24MP main lens and the 5MP depth sensor. When it comes to videos, the Reno is capable of shooting at 4K, which is expected of a 2019 flagship.
Under the hood is a Snapdragon 710 chipset that’s coupled with a 6GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. This comes as a bit of a surprise that it’s not packing a Snapdragon 855 which a flagship should, but this is a photography-centric phone anyways.
The phone is powered by a 3,765mAh battery, which is charged via USB Type-C and supports VOOC Fast Charging 3.0. As standard of a premium device, the phone sports an in-screen scanner feature. The Reno ships with ColorOS 6 which is based on Android 9.
The phone is available in two colours – Jet Black and Ocean Green and is priced at RM1,999. You can pre-order the OPPO Reno from tomorrow (May 17) until May 27 at OPPO concept stores, official dealers as well as Lazada and Shopee.
