The OnePlus 3T will feature upgraded specs at a more premium price point

The OnePlus 3 is no doubt OnePlus’ best smartphone to date. The latest flagship by the Chinese startup manufacturer ticked nearly all boxes that make up a flagship. The OnePlus 3 also made up for the areas in which the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 had hit and missed. Lately, rumor has it that OnePlus is in the midst of rolling out an upgraded version of the OnePlus 3 known as the OnePlus 3T and our favorite tipster Evan Blass has revealed the price of the said handset.

Although recent rumors tell us that the OnePlus 3T will be similarly priced to the original OnePlus 3, the latest tweet by Evan Blass suggests otherwise. According to Blass, the OnePlus 3T’s price tag would be “the OnePlus 3 + $80”, which turns out to be a 20 percent increase from the OnePlus 3’s original price of $399 (RM1,660.44). An extra $80 will mean that the OnePlus 3T carries a higher price tag of $479 (RM1,993.36).

The increase in price is possibly fueled by the OnePlus 3T’s upgraded specs from the OnePlus 3. The former is said to sport a QHD resolution LCD display instead of the current Optic AMOLED screen at 1080p resolution. The OnePlus 3T has also tipped to be powered by a newer and slightly more powerful Snapdragon 821 processor. Blass unfortunately did not mention a specific timeframe in which the OnePlus 3T will be making its debut. What do you think of the OnePlus 3T?
