The hype is building up, and we can’t wait for OnePlus to unveil their next “Flagship Killer”. But of course, we’ve came across countless rumors and leaks as we approach the OnePlus 3’s launch date, which is said to be some time next month. Recently, a particularly sketchy leak of the alleged handset surfaced on the web, but was shot down by many. To our surprise, that leak might turn out to be true after famous tipster Evan Blass uploaded a render of the OnePlus flagship, which has been redesigned to a metal body phone from the Sandstone texture of OnePlus’ previous flaghips.
This time round, sourced from the man himself, is some spec leaks of the device. Since Evan Blass is pretty credible as a leak source, we’ve figured that we should tell you as well. First off, the OnePlus 3 will still be sporting a 1080p 5.5-inch display, like its predecessors – the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. However, recent rumors tell us that we’ll be expecting an AMOLED panel on the OnePlus 3, which will have more popping colors and deeper blacks. Blass didn’t reveal the amount of RAM the device will be packing, but he mentioned that it will carry a Snapdragon 820, which has been rumored from the start. Previous leaks have mentioned that it will sport either 4GB of 6GB of RAM alongside 32GB or 64GB of internal storage.
On the camera side, rumors were pretty consistent as well, including this one – a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. Also, we’ll be expecting NFC after it was omitted from the OnePlus 2. Blass has uploaded an alleged screenshot of the “About Phone” section of the OnePlus 3, showing that the device runs on Android N and on Oxygen OS 3.1.0. What do you think about the OnePlus 3 so far?
