The Nokia 8110 4G can now be purchased for RM319 in Malaysia

While the local folks at HMD Global haven’t announced the availability of the Nokia 8110 4G, grey importers have taken a step ahead to start selling the ‘banana phone’ in Malaysia, which we managed to source ours from 11street merchant T-Mobile, the phone can be purchased for RM319 with free delivery to Malaysia and will be covered by the merchant’s 1-year warranty should you have any problems with the device.

The Nokia 8110 4G made its debut back in Mobile World Congress this year and it is the first 4G capable feature phone. Instead of running the usual S30 platform, the phone runs KaiOS, a smartphone operating system made to run on feature phone hardware, it has an app marketplace built-in called the KaiStore that you can expand the phone’s features, while there have been reports that WhatsApp could come to the platform as well, at this point of time Facebook and Google Assistant are already supported on the platform.

Other than that, the Nokia 8110 4G is powered by a Snapdragon 205 processor supported by 512MB RAM and 4GB of storage, it has a 2.45″ QVGA display, a 2MP rear camera with flash, and a 1500mAh removable battery that should get you through the day just fine. Head on over to 11street or Lazada to check it out.
