The Moto G6 and E5 will launch in Southeast Asia first before going international

It looks like we will be the first few countries that will be seeing the new Mota G6 line-up, as the phone has been listed in Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia’s certification agencies. We have even seen the Moto G6 Play appear on SIRIM’s website which indicates that it is ready to enter the market.

The new G and E series of phones will still launch in the international market but only after its Asia launch. The Moto G6 Plus comes equipped with a Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 5.93-inch FHD+ screen and powering the device is a 3,250mAh battery. The Moto G6 Play, on the other hand, comes with either a 3GB RAM/32GB storage or 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant and a Snapdragon 430 processor.

It is quite impressive that we will be seeing new phones released in Malaysia first before reaching other parts of the country. We are used to seeing phone launches overseas before it comes here, so good on Motorola and Lenovo for giving us a taste of the pie while it’s still hot.
