The latest Mi Pad might come with a Snapdragon processor and an 18:9 screen

Xiaomi is not only known for its great phones, the company has also released a range of tablets which perform just as good as its phones. Looks like they are finally releasing another tablet device that might come with a Snapdragon processor.

The guys over at XDA Developers were digging through the code of the latest Xiaomi firmware files and found references to a ‘Pad’ in the codes. Other than that, it also references other things like a 6,000mAh battery and pixel density of 320 PPI. XDA also mentioned that we might be looking at a Snapdragon 660 processor, 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera. The most interesting thing is that it also references an 18:9 aspect ratio screen, something only seen on phones and never on tablets. That would mean that we are going to get either a very tall tablet or a normal sized tablet with possibly no bezels or very minimal on the screen.

An analyst in China has reported that the new tablets are still in research and development and it might be a few months before we hear anything about it. To add on to that, a Xiaomi executive has also confirmed in November 2017 that they are working on a new Mi Pad but has not revealed anything else.
