The HP Spectre Folio debuts as HP’s first convertible leather laptop, priced from RM7,999

HP Malaysia launches the HP Spectre Folio today — HP’s first leather convertible PC, featuring artisan-inspired workmanship that ensures the laptop is both stylish and comfortable to be used.

The Spectre Folio is a convertible laptop with a 13.3-inch IPS display that can either support FHD or 4K resolution with touchscreen technology. It is crafted with chrome-tanned genuine leather with accented stitching. It has a flexible chassis with a full-grain leather hinge, allowing it to be set in three positions —laptop position, tablet position and forward position. In addition, the Spectre Folio sports quad speakers integrated with HP Audio Boost 2.0 and has a HP Wide Vision FHD IR camera.

The convertible laptop comes with up to 16GB LPDDR3-1866 SDRAM and supports up to 2TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD storage. It can be powered by either Intel Core i7-8500Y or i5-8200Y, in addition to sporting an Intel UHD Graphics 615.

The Spectre Folio is also installed with various ports — two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one USB-C port and a headphone jack. Since the laptop can be placed at a tablet position, naturally it also supports stylus like the HP Tilt Pen.

When it comes to the battery, the HP Spectre Folio is said to be able to last up to 21 hours and charges via USB-C. HP also included its fast charging technology — HP Fast Charge — that can fuel up your laptop from 0% to 50% in half an hour.

The HP Spectre Folio is now available in Cognac Brown and can be purchased from RM7,999.
