The HONOR Magic V3 is slimmer than before and has 50W wireless charging

Shortly after Samsung debut its foldables, HONOR is taking a swipe at its rival with the launch of the HONOR Magic V3 in China, we should also expect its global debut on September in conjunction with IFA Berlin.

The Magic V3 measures 9.2mm when folded and becomes 4.35mm when unfolded to reveal its large 7.92-inch 120Hz internal display, this sleekness is achieved with a new hinge design and is rated to last 500,000 folds.

The foldable has an impressive 226g weight that’s 10g lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold6, while it matches its competition by sporting IPX8 water resistance, which is the first Chinese foldable phone to do so at this time.

On the outside, you get a 6.43-inch LTPO screen that refreshes at 120Hz, Honor claims that the screens can go up to an impressive 5000 nits of peak brightness, while it supports Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid and finally, stylus support.

Powering the Magic V3 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage, HONOR has included a titanium heat dissipation system to tame the chip’s temperatures while gaming, the foldable continues to feature a large 5150mAh silicon carbon battery that supports the same 66W fast wired charging, but now adds support for 50W wireless charging.

The HONOR Magic V3 will be generally available in China starting 19th July 2024 onwards, with prices starting at CNY8999 (RM5,796) for the 12GB+256GB storage variant, it maxes out at CNY10999 (RM7,084) for the 16GB+1TB storage variant.
