The HONOR 9X is launching on July 23 and its Pro model might have triple rear cameras

The last thing we knew about the HONOR 9X is that this device will be arriving in July itself. Now, new information revealed that the HONOR 9X will indeed be launching in China on July 23, and TENAA has fully exposed all its specs on the site.

We previously expected the HONOR 9X to come with a 6.7-inch display and we weren’t that far off — it’s stated to sport a 6.59-inch TFT panel that supports FHD resolution. Unlike the HONOR 8X, the new device will be integrated with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor like the flagship HONOR 20.

The image of the HONOR 9X is also posted on Weibo, revealing its back design. Unsurprisingly, the phone will feature a gradient-coloured rear — like most of the new phones these days. However, TENAA’s listing that suggests the device only sports two cameras — a 48MP main lens paired with a 2MP sensor — is contradicting the image shown on Weibo whereby the HONOR 9X clearly has a triple rear camera setup. The only logical explanation right now is that the image on Weibo is actually the HONOR 9X Pro, while TENAA’s listing is describing the HONOR 9X.

Other than that, the HONOR 9X is reported to come with a 3,900mAh battery with support for 10W charging. It will be paired with a Kirin 810 processor and come with three configurations — 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. Of course, the HONOR 9X will be shipping with EMUI skin on top of Android 9 Pie.
