The Galaxy A14 5G is now available in Malaysia for under RM1,000

With 5G phones getting more affordable these days, Samsung is joining the fun with the introduction of the Galaxy A14 5G, it resembles its 4G sibling in design but uses a Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset for its 5G radio.

Featuring a 6.6-inch Full HD+ PLS LCD display that refreshes at 90Hz, the Galaxy A14 5G comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage that supports expansion over a Micro SD card. Despite having a triple camera system like the regular Galaxy A14, it unfortunately gets a downgrade on its ultrawide lens where it is replaced by a paltry 2MP macro lens accompanied by the same 2MP depth lens, while thankfully the main lens is still a 50MP f/1.8 camera, the front camera will then take 13MP stills.

Otherwise, you get the same side mounted fingerprint reader, NFC support, a 3.5mm headphone jack and 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging.

Available in colors of Black, Dark Red and Silver, the Galaxy A14 5G retails slightly more than the 4G model at RM949, which is a pretty decent value if you are looking for an affordable 5G Samsung phone, it also comes with a free one-year extended warranty, two major OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
