So many new products, so little time! With IFA and PAX West 2016 coming to an end at Berlin and Seattle respectively, most of you tech fans are most probably looking forward to Apple’s September 7th event where the Cupertino company will be announcing its annual refresh of the iPhone, plus LG’s launch of the V20 handset later tomorrow. In the light of these events, French manufacturer ARCHOS has once again managed to catch our attention. This time, a budget tablet with a massive display, the ARCHOS 133 Oxygen.
Starting off, the ARCHOS 133 Oxygen features a “metal finish” body with a soft touch texture to it. The earlier mentioned massive display is of 13.3-inches at 1080p resolution, which is fairly impressive for media consumption at that size. Speaking of which, media consumption will most probably be one of the few functions of this tablet, given its huge form factor and ARCHOS has inlcuded a micro HDMI port to connect the tablet to even bigger displays. Underneath the hood lies a Rockchip RK3368 processor clocked at 1.5 Ghz together alongside a PowerVR SGX6110 graphics processing unit. ARCHOS has also fitted the tablet with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
Cameras on tablets as usual, shouldn’t be complained about, and the ARCHOS 133 Oxygen sports a 5MP/2MP pair of rear and front facing shooters. ARCHOS has claimed an average of 5 hours of video playback on this tablet with the 10,000mAh battery packed in it. Also, the tablet runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0. How about its price? £179.99 (RM975.82), which sounds like a pretty good deal for a tablet of 13 inches. What do you think?
