Test out Android Oreo on your Huawei Mate 9!

Android Oreo is barely out of the oven as we speak, but most smartphone manufacturers have been teasing their version of Google’s latest Android software to be around the corner. Huawei is one of them, and the company is currently accepting Android Oreo beta testers for its Mate 9 flagship.

The main condition to be a beta tester for this program by Huawei is that you have to own a Mate 9 device. You will also have to download a dedicated app from Huawei’s website which can be found at the source link below. Spots might have been taken up as only 250 spots are available for the beta program, but it is always still worth a try if you intend to try out Android Oreo on the Mate 9 before the general public does.

Do bear in mind that you will be running on beta software, which means that you will be facing bugs and all the pre-released software issues before Huawei rolls out the official Android Oreo software. The beta program will end on November 3. Huawei will most likely be releasing the official software by the end of 2017.
