Let’s just put a hold on the Realme 3 Pro that’s about to be launched tomorrow because Realme X’s teaser poster is out, confirming the phone’s pop-up selfie camera.
The teaser poster alone led us to confirm a few things — its launch date on May 15, a pop-up selfie camera (full screen display!) and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also showed two colour variants of the phone — a white version that reminds me of the Samsung S10e’s Prism White, and a purple-to-blue version that resembles the Realme 3 Pro’s Nitro Blue.
Aside from that, the company confirmed that the Realme X will come with the next-generation optical in-display fingerprint sensor, and the area for unlock has been increased by 44% — probably for more efficient unlocking. Following previous leaks and rumours, the Realme X will sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED display — an upgrade over the Realme 3 Pro — and will have FHD+ resolution, in addition to being powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset.
Storage wise, the phone is said to come with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, and we are expecting it to ship with ColorOS 6 based on Android 9. Just like the Realme 3 Pro, the phone will come with VOOC Flash Charge 3.0, but has a slightly smaller 3,700mAh battery.
When it comes to the camera, the phone is going to house a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera paired with a 5MP secondary sensor. On the front, we’re expecting to see a 16MP pop-up selfie camera.
