Steam Link app works surprisingly well on Samsung Smart TVs despite being in beta

If you are a gamer and own a Samsung Smart TV, we have good news for you. Thanks to the collaboration between Valve and Samsung, Steam Link can be downloaded to the smart TV via the TV’s app store. Although the app is still in beta, it seems to work remarkably well based on a PC Gamer writer who tested out the app just recently.

Getting the app to work is simple, just download the app from the TV’s app store, launch it up and you will be greeted with the similar Steam Link interface and your PC will automatically be detected, as long it is on and Steam is running. The only issue the app has is communicating with the Steam Controller, certain inputs are not recognised by the app but plugging in an Xbox 360 controller seems to not give any issues, although the Steam Forums mentioned that it will only work with the Steam Controller. Playing games is not an issue, as games seem to work perfectly fine with only certain games giving minor bugs, but you are looking to play a game of Dark Souls 3 or Dishonored then it will work perfectly fine.

If you have a Samsung Smart TV and have a Steam account, you can try this out by downloading the beta version of the app on your TV, finally merging your gaming platforms into one system.
