Nope, the second generation monsters in Pokemon GO haven’t gotten an early rollout, since it was announced on Twitter that new Pokemon will be arriving to the Pokemon GO app on the 12th of December. On another note, Niantic has partnered up with Starbucks to boost the Pokemon GO hype and keep it alive stateside.
Announced on the Pokemon GO Google Plus account, Niantic is officially collaborating with American coffee company Starbucks as their official partner. The partnership resulted in thousands of new Gyms and PokeStop locations for Pokemon GO trainers. The exact figure is 7,800. 7,800 Starbucks outlets being turned into virtual Gyms and PokeStops for trainers to stop by and engage with each other:
“We appreciate their role in creating safe, welcoming locations for people from all walks of life to come together for refreshment and social engagement.”
This partnership between Starbucks and Niantic certainly benefits both parties, encouraging Pokemon GO trainers to visit Starbucks stores and expanding the locations in the Pokemon GO app. With that, we should probably expect a decent growth in the Pokemon GO community. As an added bonus, Starbucks will create a special edition Pokemon GO Frappuccino. Now that’s good marketing. What do you think?
