To start off 2019, Apple decided to organise a Shot on iPhone Challenge so that they can be closer to their loyal fans and share the some of the best works captured on iPhones.

From 22 January to 7 February, iPhone users can submit their best photographs for the Shot on iPhone Challenge. Participants have to be at least 18 years of age and are existing iPhone owners before 22 January if they’re interested in joining the contest.

Those who are interested just need to upload the best photograph they’ve taken with their iPhones within six months preceding the start of the contest period (22 January) and post it on either Twitter, Instagram or Weibo, or they can choose to email the photo to Apple. For those who are posting it on social media, they will need to include the #ShotOniPhone hashtag and Weibo users can also choose to use the localised hashtag #用iPhone拍摄# when they post it on Weibo.

In addition to that, participants are allowed to edit the photographs taken though it must be stated. However, participants are only allowed to use iPhones to take the photographs.

Ten winners will then be selected, and the photos captured by the winners will be featured on Apple Newsroom, Apple’s Instagram channel, apple.com, Apple retail stores and billboards around the world. The winners will be announced around 26 February 2019 on both Apple Newsroom and via direct message.
