Spotify lightens up the mood with haze-centric playlist, Hazed & Confused

It’s that time of the year again where every asthmatic Malaysian cower away in their homes as a means of survival – that’s right, it’s haze season.

While we rant about how face mask prices have gone through the roof, the folks at Spotify aim to make things a little less toxic – the vibes that is, not our air. Four hours ago at from the time of writing, we got a little gem from the popular streaming app in the form of a playlist, dedicated to the haze – its name: “Hazed & Confused”.

It’s all puns from here on out as the description reads “Haze is a strong word, but we really really really don’t like you.” – amen to that. So far, there are a total of 68 (so close…) songs about breathing difficulty, intense flames, nature, and…break ups?

Jokes aside, the playlist is pretty fire (pun very much intended) – a large portion of the list include mainstream hits like ‘No Air’ by Jordin Sparks, ‘Harder to Breathe’ by Maroon 5, and ‘Hijau’ by Zainal Abidin – this one’s not mainstream, but if you’ve ever been part of our country’s national service program, you’d know this song, very, very well.

Since we’re all stuck indoors anyways, at least we have a pretty lit (yes, pun intended) Spotify playlist to rock out to. Check out the playlist here.
