South Korean LG G5 users taste the first fruits of Android Nougat

With Android Nougat 7.0 readily available on the LG V20, it is no surprise that the LG G5 users are keen on getting their share of the latest Android operating system. South Korean manufacturer LG has finally announced the rollout of Android Nougat 7.0 for the G5. This makes it the first company apart from Google to rollout Nougat to its smartphone(s), after being the first company to have Nougat running on its handset.

The Android Nougat 7.0 rollout however, will be gradual. LG has announced that users in its home country South Korea will be the first ones to get the software update. Users from other respective regions will be getting their share of Nougat in the weeks to come. The rollout comes after LG conducted a Nougat preview program for 2,000 of its South Korean G5 users. The software update will mean that LG G5 users are getting their hands on an improved version of Android with a slew of new features such as smarter notifications, multi window support to run apps side by side, and the ability to search inside apps with In Apps.

Most of the OEM’s are hinting at an Android Nougat update in the near future, hence we do hope for more rollouts before 2016 comes to a close. Anyone here an LG G5 user? Let us know your thoughts at the comments section below!
