Xperia fans rejoice as Sony is finally bringing in the new Xperia phones to Malaysia, the Xperia XZ and the Xperia X Compact.
The main star of the day is the Xperia XZ of course, being the flagship of the Xperia X line of smartphone. the XZ is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a 2,900mAh battery.
Imaging is the biggest selling point of the Xperia XZ, as it comes with 23MP 1/2.3″ rear camera that includes the Exmor RS mobile image sensor. This rear camera is then paired with Sony’s own Predictive Hybrid Autofocus, as well as the triple image sensing technology which comprises of an image sensor, a Laser AF sensor, and a RGBC-IR sensor. Other technology that is included in the Xperia XZ’s rear camera includes the G Lens, the BIONZ mobile image-processing engine, as well as Steadyshot. For the front camera, the Xperia XZ comes with a 13MP 1/3.06″ snapper with Exmore RS mobile image sensor.
Next on the list is the Xperia X Compact, the affordable option out of the two smartphones launched today. Powered by a Snapdragon 650 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 2,700mAh battery, this smartphone is, as the name implies, a compact device thanks to its 4.6″ display. Small though it may be, the Xperia X Compact’s camera is no pushover, as the rear camera is similar to the one found on the Xperia XZ. For the front camera, the X Compact comes with a 5MP 1/5.0″ Exmor R snapper.
Both phones are now available for preorder on 11street. Those who preorder the phones via 11street will get themselves some accessories for their phones. The Xperia XZ will retail for RM2,699, while the Xperia X Compact will go for RM1,999.
