Compact cameras are capable of doing so much more these days, and Sony further proves it with its new RX0 II, an ultra-compact camera that weighs around 132g.
The RX0 II comes with a 1.0-type stacked Exmore RS CMOS image sensor paired with advanced BIONZ X image processing engine, enabling the production of great image quality and efficient performance. In addition, it has a ZEISS Tessar T 24mm lens that is a wide angle-lens that can produce high-quality images with minimal distortion, ensuring the sharpness and contrast of the images.
The RX0 II also has a spectacular exterior. It is waterproof up to 10 metres deep, and can be dustproof and shockproof up to 2 metres. Moreover, the compact camera is said to be crushproof, where it can withstand up to 200kg force. The camera also has a LCD screen that can be tilt up to 180 degrees and down to 90 degrees.
As for its video capabilities, the RX0 II supports 4K 30p internal recording that has full pixel readout and no pixel binning, which ensures smooth footage with unrivalled detail. It has a feature known as in-body electronic stabilisation, and this further steadies the footages taken even when users are shooting without tripod. The camera also comes with Super Slow Motion recording, and it can shoot up to 1000fps with uncompressed 4K HDMI output.
In terms of photography, the RX0 II offers an Anti-distortion Shutter up to 1/32000 second and can shoot up to 16fps, ensuring that users will never miss a moment no matter how quickly it is. Sony also upgraded the colour reproduction in the RX0 II and also its Eye AF function that now comes with higher speed and accuracy.
The RX0 II will be available in May 2019 at the price of RM2,799.
