Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium’s latest update brings bokeh and monochrome modes to the phone

The Sony Xperia XZ2 is a very decent performing phone and for a phone that has one camera sensor, it could easily rival other phones that had more than one sensor. However, if you still are adamant about getting a dual-sensor phone, there is the Xperia XZ2 Premium which comes with a dual-sensor setup.

Sony has recently released an update that further improves the camera on the Xperia XZ2 Premium which adds a Bokeh effect and Monochrome modes to the camera app. The new features can be accessed by pressing the button below the shutter button and this update also brings the 1st August 2018 security patch to the phone. If you own the phone in Malaysia, the update might take some time to arrive on your phone as the update is a gradual rollout.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium retails for RM3499 which is quite expensive for what it offers. However, you could get the regular Xperia XZ2 for below RM3000 if you don’t need the new and fancy features that come with the Premium model.
