The Sony Xperia XZ2 has made its debut in Malaysia that comes with a new design language different from its predecessor with specs that is up-to-date with current flagships. It also comes with a range of features that are more interesting compared to the other flagships we have seen released this year.
The XZ2 comes with a beautiful 5.7-inch FHD+ 18:9 display which supports HDR and has the capability to convert content to a near HDR quality. Aside from improving content quality, it also has a Dynamic Vibration System which will bring games and movies to live by analysing the sound and provides a haptic vibration to immerse you into the content you are consuming. There are stereo speakers on the front that provides a 360 degrees surround sound quality with great volume and audio quality. The great audio is thanks to Hi-Resolution Audio technologies and together with DSEE HX technology, it can upscale audio quality, providing a better audio experience.
As mentioned above, Sony has taken a different design approach by curved the back of the phone, allowing it to rest comfortably in the palm of your hand. Alongside the 3D glass surface and Corning Gorilla Glass 5, it provides an elegant design and a metal frame for added durability. The device is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage expandable via microSD card up to 400GB. Powering the device is a 3180mAh battery which Sony said will be no problems providing a day worth of use and it supports Qi standard wireless charging.
The Xperia XZ2 comes with other features like 3D Creator, which will scan your face or head and even objects and create an accurate 3D model which you can use as an asset in your 3D work.
There is also a Compact version of the phone which comes with a 5-inch HDR FHD+ screen and comes with the same features as the standard version minus the Dynamic Vibration System.
The Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact will be available in Malaysia starting April 2018, with pre-orders starting from 23 March until 4 April. The XZ2 and XZ2 Compact will be priced at RM3,299 and RM2,899 respectively and will be available in four colours, Silver, Black, Moss Green and Ash Pink.
